Welcome
Held in September 2011, the 5th decibel Performing Arts Showcase gave us a week of thrilling cross art-form productions, performances and pitches and talks in Manchester.
We’re now delighted to present decibel Showcase Online, a resource which gives the artists and delegates who attended a chance to relive the experience, and those who were unable to attend an opportunity to enjoy these brilliant performances and pitches for the first time.
Over the coming days we’ll release the videos of the pitches and performances of some of the most exciting new work that our country has to offer, alongside the packed programme of talks and discussions.
To help you find work that is relevant for you and your audiences we’ve clustered performances together by day and tagged them, by art form and by strand.

The presentations, by 50 artists and companies from England, address issues from the public (the Olympics, the NHS, global culture) to the personal (love, identity, mental health and disability). Many employ innovative digital approaches to provide modern twists on age-old theatre, puppetry, dance, music and spoken word.
For the first time these are complemented by series of inspiring decibel Talks, panel discussions on themes arising from The Creative Case. Decibel Showcase Online presents an opportunity to watch these talks again and to share their insights with others.
Finally we would like to extend our thanks to everyone who has made showcase possible again, whether behind the scenes or in the stalls.
Yours sincerely
